The sheer simplicity of Rubick is not to be taken as a negative. It’s more like a powerful canvas which can be customised with any extra demands that real life throws at presentations.
The pre-defined colour palette is a sophisticated complementary rainbow offset by a dark green / black. Combined with the blocky page design, it’s a Rubick’s Cube deck for the 21st century.
The font choices uses a standard Google font that has been popular for the last few years. It won’t harm the design to switch this out to a variation. Sans serifs will always be the preferred option for these kind of projects.
The typography body copy maybe a bit small for many clients, but there is plenty of space to make these adjustments and retain the same feel.
The image portfolios are particularly elegant and understated. This is a no pretense, direct communication marked out by the great use of space.
Adding your own branding is a simple task. Rubick has generous borders for logos, folios, and page descriptions. If there is to be a standard title / subheading on each slide, minor amends may be needed on the top margin, but this is easy.
Text options are covered with all basic needs. 1 / 2 / 3 columns with and without imagery.
Bullets and icon led bullets are all demonstrated.
Data slides contain solutions for most real world needs. Anything off the map can be easily developed using aspects of a number of template slides.
The infographics are for art direction purposes and would need attention to work easily with Excel data.
The icon set is comprehensive and useful. It’s easy to recolour within PowerPoint.
